Available at The Abilene Public Library:

BOOKS:  Over 50,000 volumes including best selling fiction and non-fiction.

NEWSPAPERS AND MAGAZINES:  Over 15 current subscriptions.

FREE INTERNET ACCESS AND FREE WIRELESS INTERNET Please see our Internet policy for more details.

MICROFILM: Abilene Reflector Chronicle from 1870 to 2004.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN:  Access to libraries across Kansas

SUMMER READING PROGRAM:  Children log hours of reading to achieve personal goals.

STORYTIME: Fun stories and activities year round.

ROTATING BOOKS:  New books from the NCKL every two months.

LARGE PRINT BOOKS:  For those with visual difficulties.

TALKING BOOKS AND MAGAZINES:  For the blind or physically disadvantaged.

COPY MACHINE: Service provided for 25c per black and white copy and 50c per color copy. Scanning is free.

FAX MACHINE:  Service provided for $1.00 per page.

AFTER-HOURS BOOK RETURN:  Return books when it is convenient for you.

BOOKS ON WHEELS:  Books delivered to those unable to come to the library on their own.

KANSAS LIBRARY CARD:  Access to multiple databases.

Newspapers at the Abilene Public Library:

Current magazines are located in the Main level of the library.  Magazines available for checkout are located on the fourth level.

The microfilm reader is located next to the patron computers on the main level.
