This is the most exciting part of the new system! You now have a universal card, which offers fantastic benefits. You can borrow books from multiple local libraries, including Chapman Public Library, Solomon Public Library, and Enterprise Public Library, all with the same card.
You also have the flexibility to pick up any holds at any library. For instance, if you live in Chapman but work in Abilene, you can choose the location that’s most convenient for you. When searching for items, you’ll be able to see what’s available at all local libraries and beyond. If you reserve something that isn’t available at our library, it will be shipped to your preferred pick-up location.
Yes, but we will still be able to look up your past number. If you’d like or need to know your new number, think of it in fourteen digits….27410000XXXXXX –the Xs standing in for your previous card number.
(Don’t worry, we won’t ask you to memorize it, and we can still look you up with your previous number. We can even still scan your “old” card — so keep it handy!)
All previous saved links or bookmarks need to be changed to https://nckls.bywatersolutions.com/. When you get to the website, use your new fourteen-digit number. Your password is the last four digits of your phone number we have on file. If you cannot log in, please contact us and we will assist!
We are not printing cards with previous numbers (and the additional numbers). However, if you want to start all over with a brand-new number, then sure! Don’t forget — we can look you up with your previous number — we can even scan your “old” card. We can also look you up in our system by your name.
Yes! You will need to update your account by adding 27410000 in front of your regular 6 digit card number, but your account is still valid. If you are a new user, you will have to input your fourteen-digit number. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have problems!
Hoopla will also require you to update your card number to the new 14 digit number 27410000XXXXXX – the Xs representing your current card number.
Yes! We would be happy to order them for you. It is a different process, but we are happy to help you out. You can request in person at the library or by filling out the request form on the Interlibrary loan page.

A “hold” takes the place of many previous interlibrary loan requests. Because you now have a universal card, you can…
- Check out a book at multiple local libraries, like Chapman Public Library, Abilene Public Library, and Solomon Public Library — and use the same card!
- Choose to pick up any holds at any library. So, if you live in Chapman but you work in Abilene, select the most convenient location to pick up your items.
- Search the catalog, and it will show you the items available at any of the local libraries (and more). Put it on reserve, and if it is not available at our library, it will be shipped to your preferred pick up location
